Strategist and military scholar with 34 years of service and nine operational tours. Former Director of the UK MoD's Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre; doctoral researcher at Trinity College Cambridge and lecturer at King's College London.

Andrew Sharpe is a strategist, operational artist, military educationalist, scholar and lecturer with 34 years of military service and nine operational tours.

He has coordinated two independent think tanks, serving as Director of the UK Ministry of Defence’s Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre and as a member of the UK Chief of Defence Staff’s Strategic Advisory Panel.

He is currently pursuing a doctorate at Trinity College Cambridge. He is also a Senior Research Officer with the Cambridge Security Analysis Institute (CamSAI) and lectures at the Strategy and Security Institute at the University of Exeter, King’s College London and several military Staff Colleges.

He brings extensive knowledge of both the theory and practice of military decision-making to Cambridge Governance Labs.
